Position Summary

The Account Executive reports to the Market Development Manager and is assigned a specific area of responsibility and key customer accounts. Tracks daily call activity and reports results for transports and business growth on a weekly basis. Works with the Market Development Manager to establish specific goals to support the local plan.

  • Is responsible for an assigned book of business and a specific geographic area - makes daily calls and tracks results on the established metrics on a weekly basis.
  • Assists in the identification of potential growth opportunities in the service area.
  • Acts as an active participant in the development and growth of profitable transports for assigned area.
  • Works with Regional Director and Marketing Development Manager on requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Tracks and reports marketing goals to ensure share of market and usage of services.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with customers in assigned area.
  • Communicates customer feedback to the operational Field staff in an effort to improve Rural/Metro's service.
  • Regularly attends customer and community events for assigned area to promote Rural/Metro.
  • Focuses on increasing transports by marketing Rural/Metro’s services to healthcare facilities.
  • Assists in the distribution and collection of market surveys on current and new service concepts.
  • Assists in identifying operational needs and helps in the creation of facility action plans to improve service levels.
  • Maintains RMATS contract database for area of responsibility.
  • Keeps a calendar on contract expirations, renewals, and the execution of new contracts.
  • Meets with the Market Development Manager weekly to review call reports, major activities, issues, and progress toward objectives.
  • Effectively communicates marketing campaigns and market development endeavors to Rural/Metro employees.
  • Keeps up to date on all paperwork related to patient care and patient transfers.
  • Stays current on billing requirements for all insurance types.
  • Formulates reports for Management and performs a variety of administrative tasks
Customer Service
  • Assists Market Development Manager with the resolution of customer inquiries/complaints and aids in maintaining positive relationships with contracted client facilities.
  • Maintains positive communication with all agencies and customers (both internal and external) served by the Communications Center.
  • Interacts with the Clinical department to ensure our emergency medical providers are maintaining the high degree of quality care
  • Minimum 2 years experience in sales or marketing administration, preferably in the area of healthcare operations, contract services, and/or customer services.
  • Customer service in a healthcare provider setting is required.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Educational Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Preference to BS/BA degree in Marketing or equivalent experience.
